Dot was proceeded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald Sugden (a fellow Frankford HS graduate), her loving brother Robert E. Wendig, Sr. (June), and brother in-law Joseph M. Sugden (Arlita).
Long-time residents of Solebury Township, Dot and Don moved from Levittown, PA to the area in the mid-sixties. A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Dot returned to the work force reviving her secretarial skills for employment at Steely and Smith Insurance and the Trinity Episcopal Church Solebury. She especially enjoyed the comradery and friendships formed at the Cookery Ware Shop.
An involved member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, Dot lent her modestly self-described “mediocre alto” to the church choir for many years. She continued to do so at WEL, as faith and music were important to her. She fondly remembered family trips throughout the U. S. and U.K. and later travels with the Central Bucks Seniors to Alaska and France.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Sugden and Diane Sugden, granddaughters Dawn Teat (Betuel Pineda) and Nicole Teat, great-grandsons Jacob, Tristen, and Benjamin, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be private at the request of the family. Internment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held at a date to be determined.
