

Centenary College. She lived with her mother, Martha Guthrie Low, her father, Jacob, and cousin Elsa Bernhard.
Evie's father came here from Germany and founded Jacob Low Hardware store in 1935.
Evelyn took over the store from her father and kept it going in his memory - with great help from friend and manager Steve Allen and cousin Elsa. She loved the store and her beautiful home, and cherished fun times at her cabin near French Creek with friends and family.
Ev loved all animals, especially her beloved basset hounds, and she contributed to many animal causes.
She was an avid Phillies fan, and good years or bad, she always had the games on....
She was a devoted opera fan and had a vast collection of books, magazines, records, and cds - special favorites were Beverly Sills and
Pavoratti.
Evie is survived by cousins Lynne Reichert (Exton,Pa), Steve Crosley (Atlanta, Ga), and Dr. Chris Crosley (Washington DC) and their families, along with very good friends Susan Cunningham and Steve Allen. Also, special family friends include Paul Adelizzi, the Morlock family, Peggy Pomante, and wonderful caregiver, Kormasah Jallah.
Ev was a kind, caring, generous person; she had an unassuming pleasant personality and got along with everyone. She was blessed with a great sense of humor that endeared her to many.
Evelyn will be interred in Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill to be with her parents and dear cousin Elsa.
