
James Daniel Travisano of Bethlehem , 84, passed away at home on July 27, 2026. Born February 4, 1942, he was the son of the late Daniel Michael Travisano and Philamina “Minnie” Antoinette Daluisio Travisano. He was a younger brother to the late Anthony Travisano.
As a young man, Jim attended Barber School and had his own barber shop for a time. Later, after serving in the National Guard, he spent many years working for Bethlehem Steel. He was first employed as a custodian, then a window washer, a doorman and then finally in security. After the closing of Bethlehem Steel, Jim spent many years working for Bethlehem Area School District as a custodian. He worked at many different schools until his retirement. He was well loved by the teachers and students and was affectionately known as “Mr. Jim”.
Jim was a believer in the salvation offered only through a relationship with Christ, and often affirmed that. He was an active member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, being involved with men’s breakfast, prayer groups, ushering, and kinship group. He also enjoyed watching Penn State football games and riding his bike.
Jim leaves behind his wife Lissa; daughters Nancy Travisano, Tiffany Thompson, and Tina Travisano; sons-in-law Michael Klaum and Matthew Thompson; grandson Adam Saunders and wife Patricia; granddaughters Aubrey and Emily Thompson and great-grand children Mackenzie and Maddox Saunders. Memorial service to be held at Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church 3100 Hecktown Rd. Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, August 15, 11am. Calling hours 10:30a-11:00a.
