Joan Lorraine Hunt

Joan Lorraine Hunt passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was 77 years old, born on April 28, 1946 to the late Horace E. and Katherine (Ames) Hunt. She grew up in Morrisville, Pa., and later moved to the Lehigh Valley where she raised her family.

Joan was a dedicated mother and grandmother who worked as a customer service agent and manager until her retirement. She cherished every minute she spent with her daughters and grandchildren, and also enjoyed spending time at her family’s cabin in the Poconos, trips to the beach, gardening in her backyard, dinners with her “girls' night out” group, and watching football – always with a cat curled up on her lap. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

She is survived by daughters Stacy Green of Port Republic, MD and her husband, Terry; Amy Koch of Williams Township, PA and her husband, Jim; and April Simons of Nazareth, PA and her husband, Eric; grandchildren Kole Green, Leah Green, Abbey Simons, and Jillian Simons; sister Diane Nichols of Newark, DE; niece Kathy Nichols of Newark, DE; nephew Stephen J. Nichols of Sanford, FL; and many other friends, neighbors, and family.

Services will be private at the request of the family.
