Louis “Lou” Leone Jr. passed away suddenly on August 9, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends touched the lives of so many.
Lou grew up in Drexel Hill, and was a proud graduate of Archbishop Bonner High School. After high school, he attended La Salle University before dedicating his career to building the family business, Leone Brothers Construction. Through his hard work, commitment, and integrity, Lou helped grow a business that became an important part of his legacy.
Lou married the love of his life, Jill Leone (née Forslund), and together they shared 50 years of marriage. He was a devoted husband who cherished his family and was a constant source of love, support, and strength.
He was the proud and loving father to Matthew (Heidi) Leone and Jason (Andrea) Leone. Lou was also a dedicated and adoring grandfather to his only grandson, Brady. The two shared an incredible bond, and Brady adored his Papa Lou. Their relationship was a special reflection of the love and joy Lou brought to everyone.
Lou will be remembered for his generous spirit, steady presence, and deep love for those closest to him. He took great pride in his family and in the business he helped build. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
Lou was an avid golfer who treasured his time on the golf course with his sons, especially when he won. He was an “energetic” Philadelphia sports fan, and a determined skier - but most importantly… he made the best meatballs.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lou’s life on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at:
The Fox Barn
16 Great Valley Parkway
Malvern, PA 19355
In honor of Lou’s memory, and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Eagles Autism Foundation.
Lou will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
