Mary Ellen Friday

MaryEllen is survived by her loving children, Denise Katrina, Arthur Friday Jr., Patricia Friday Webster (Rich) and her sister Areta Fitch along with numerous nieces and nephews. MaryEllen was predeceased by her husband of 71 years Arthur F. Friday Sr, her parents Floyd and Mary (Stufflet) Overholtzer, siblings, Floyd L. Overholtzer (Sonny), Geraldine Veneziale, and Thomas Overholtzer.

MaryEllen was born and raised in Pottstown, Pa. Following graduation in 1946 from Pottstown H.S. She was employed as a secretary by J. Fagely and Son Hardware prior to her marriage in 1952. She later worked for the American Racing Pigeon News in East Norriton from 1973 to 1980.

MaryEllen loved cooking for her family, sewing and was an avid walker. Along with her husband they enjoyed hosting large get togethers for family and friends on the 4th of July and at Christmas. They also enjoyed crafting and selling their creations at various craft shows in the area.

Burial will be private.
