He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Ethel Banyacski, sister, Pauline Partington, and son, Jean-Paul Banyacski.
He graduated from Eastern University, attended Eastern (Palmer) Seminary and did Graduate studies at Bryn Mawr College.
Paul was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at West Chester University for 33 years, retiring in 1998.
He was an active member of the Baptist Church of West Chester (BCWC) serving as a Deacon and member of the Mission Board.
Paul taught adult Christian Education classes for many years and offered special programs at BCWC and other churches.
Paul used his much-loved puppet ministry in programs for children as well as area nursing homes. He regularly presented the devotion for the BCWC Saturday Morning Breakfast.
Paul and his wife, Jeanne, served as volunteer missionaries in Romania focusing on ministry to the Roma (Gypsy) people. They taught and spoke at conferences and various churches and enabled education and theological training for the first Roma pastor in Acas, Romania. They continue to support wholistic ministry to Roma and other people throughout Romania and Eastern Europe.
After living in West Chester. Pennsylvania for more than 40 years they moved to Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania in 2017.
Paul played and enjoyed several sports, motorcycling, traveling, reading, classic movies, and the Oregon Coast.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeanne, daughter, Marika Banyacski (Roz), three grandchildren: Maya, Henry and Jonah Banyacski, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Banyacski and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM on October 10 at the Baptist Church of West Chester, 221 S. High Street, West Chester, PA 19382. Visitation is at 10 AM.
