Robert W. Bridges Jr.

Robert W. Bridges, Jr. of Media, PA, age 100, passed away on March 8th, 2021. He was born in Meridian, MS, son of Robert and Ava (Pearson) Bridges. He resided many years in Jackson, MS, Duluth, MN, Thief River Falls, MN, Tucson, AZ and recently in Drexel Hill and Media, PA.

His life was devoted to his family, especially his dear wife, Grace, who predeceased him after 72 years of marriage. He dedicated his career to the University of Minnesota, Duluth, eventually holding the position of Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs.

He is survived by his three children, Rebecca Spivack (Gary Spivack), Robert Bridges III (Barbara Luke), and Judith Cook (Douglas Cook), as well as six beloved grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his sister Ruth Sparkman, and a cousin who was truly a brother, Parham Bridges.

A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
