
Robert (Bob) Kidd passed away on February 22, 2025, at the of 78. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, June; and his younger brother, John. Bob was originally from Baltimore, Md. and graduated from the University of Maryland. He was an USAF Vietnam Veteran and spent the majority of his Military Service assigned to a NATO German (Luftwaffe) Air Base. He was able to tour all the free European countries over a period on many years during this assignment. Bob joined Exxon where he met and married his wife, June. Professionally, he became recognized for this expertise in refinery and petrochemical operations. Further, he helped develop and taught courses in oil/energy economics for Exxon. Following the collapse of oil prices in the 1980’s, Bob elected to leave Exxon and founded a manufacturing company specializing in custom decorative commercial building products utilizing composites technology. He sold the company and retired in 2008. Bob and June greatly enjoyed the game of golf and spent numerous vacations playing hundreds of golf courses throughout the U.S. Following retirement, Bob helped establish and run a daily golf league at Kimberton Golf Course.
