

William “Bill” N. Dooley passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29th, 2026, two months shy of his 93rd birthday. Born in 1933, he was the beloved son of William F. Dooley and Mary Ellen (McGough) Dooley.
Bill grew up in Drexel Hill, PA, graduated from West Catholic High School and later earned a degree in Accounting from Villanova University. He worked for more than 40 years with the Department of Defense at the Philadelphia Naval Base, a job that took him to many countries and cities around the world.
In 1957, Bill married the love of his life, Barbara. Their marriage was a true partnership based on love, faith and lots of laughter. They remained happily married until her passing. Together, they raised three children and welcomed seven grandchildren, who were Bill’s greatest pride and joy.
Bill is survived by his son Bill; his daughters Annette (Dave) and Barbara (Marc); his five granddaughters, Brenna, Noelle, Kasey, Catherine, and Megan; his two grandsons, Nicholas and Devin; his brother Frank Dooley; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Dooley.
Bill loved living and loved sharing life with all of those around him, especially his family. His kind heart, great humor and frequent hugs will be sorely missed.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27th, 2026, at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church 2835 Manor Road, Coatesville, PA. Visitation at 10am, followed by Mass at 11am.
