Alex Vogelsong, 21, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026.
He was born April 27, 2005, and will be remembered as a more than great friend, an amazing Dad, and a son who radiated love.
Alex had an outgoing personality and a very predominant smile; he could make friends with anyone, anywhere. He could fix anything, including go carts, e-bikes, weed eaters, and once a roadside-found rototiller. He loved fishing, staying active, and being outdoors. These simple things made him feel most like himself.
Alex was proud to be a Dad and it shined through with his love for his daughter.
He is survived by his parents, Tracy Vogelsong and Mady Spence; his precious daughter, Raine Schmitt; his grandmother, Linda Toland; 2 brothers, Michael Vogelsong and Noah Vogelsong; a sister, Shania Gracey; and 3 step-sisters, Shawna Weiser, Lillian Rubendall, and Danielle Rubendall.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, 11:00 am, at the Cremation & Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation will begin at 10am.
