

Alfonso Di Pisa, of Middletown, PA, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, after a long illness. He was 69. Al was the son of the late Pietro and Vincenza (Salvo) Di Pisa. He was born in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy on December 25, 1955.
Al worked in various jobs in the food industry from Montreal to Pennsylvania to Florida. He graduated from the MTA Truck Driving School and later became an owner-operator. He married Margaret T. Wood in October 1984 in York, PA.
Al enjoyed cooking, tinkering on family’s and friends’ cars, cruise vacations to warm, sunny locations, target shooting with family, riding his motorcycle, and he prided himself on rehabbing fixer-upper houses.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, sons Pietro “Peter” T., Michael I. (Rebecca Sager), and a granddaughter, Eliana. Al also has relatives in Italy, Canada and Florida, including his sister, Grace Di Pisa, of Schuylkill County, and 2 brothers, Steve, and Joe (Martine Lauzon) in Montreal, Canada, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th at New Beginnings Church, 630 South Union St., Middletown, PA at 10:00 AM, with the memorial service following immediately.
