Charles E. Wright II

Born and raised in Steelton, PA, Charlie was reared and educated within the Steelton community. He was an avid sports enthusiast, known for his lifelong devotion as a Steel-High Rollers fan and his unwavering love for the San Francisco 49ers — no matter the record.

He dedicated many years of service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue, before retiring in 2005. In 1999, Charlie joined Cyrene Lodge #169 as Chaplain, later demitting to Unity Lodge #71 in Harrisburg, PA, in 2011, where he held various positions and received numerous honors.

Charlie is survived by his devoted and loving significant other, Sharon Gilchrist; one brother, Dan Wright; four sons, Charles III (Aracely), Terrance Mosby (Kristin), Chadwicke Logan, and Chanson (Kyla); one daughter, Chellia; two stepdaughters, Keisha Broomes (Chris) and Janee’ Gilchrist-Corbin (Noel); twenty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service and final resting tribute will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Trinity Church of God, 244 Harris Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
