Leota M Negley

Leota M. Negley, 88, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Celebration Villa - Dillsburg.

Born October 2, 1937, in Franklin Twp, PA, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Gretna Wenger.

She retired from Hershey Creamery after 30+ years of service. She also drove school bus for numerous years and had worked at the Dillsburg Shoe Factory.

Leota loved gardening, canning, cooking, and putting puzzles together. In her retirement years, she loved playing bingo, crocheting, and participating in church activities and functions. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Church.

Surviving are her children, Sherry Miller, Trudy Meredith (Steve), Valerie Miller (Kenneth), Toni Scheider (Andrew), Rose Weidner, and Dawn Crowl; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Frey and John M. Negley; a daughter, Tina Cookerly; and a son, Roy Crowl.

A memorial service is being planned.

Interment will be at Dillsburg Cemetery.
