
Age 92, of West Hanover Township, passed peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
Born on August 5, 1931 in Tower City, Pa, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Miller) Thompson. She was retired from Capital Blue Cross and Boscov’s. Lois was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where her beautiful voice enriched the choir.
Lois’ greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Goodale; 2 sons, Randy Shreve and Joseph Shreve; 16 grandchildren, Bryan Allen, Eileen Kaufmann (Maureen Hayburn), Kevin Shreve (Desiree), Gregory Shreve, Lauren Shreve, Ian Shreve, Jordan Todd, Kaleb Nissley, Kylee Nissley, Kolten Nissley, Kamron Nissley, Hailey Morris, Rhyder Shreve, Rhylee Bishop; 8 great-grandchildren, Blaise Allen, Asher Allen, Alexa Kunkel, Ashlyn Kunkel, Parker Shreve, Weston Shreve, Wyatt Shreve, Azalea Shreve; a sister, Claire Nagg; a brother, Ernest Thompson; a sister-in-law, Irene Dubbs; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by Ralph, her loving husband of 63 years; her son Ralph (Jim); brother Wayne Thompson; daughter-in-law Deborah Shreve; and son-in-law Jim Goodale.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Cremation & Burial Society of Pennsylvania, 4100 Jonestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17109 with Pastor Dave Schreffler officiating. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
