

She was born on April 23, 1931, the older daughter of the late Dr. Lawrence Putnam and Doris (Tozier) Putnam of Holyoke, Massachusetts.
She graduated from Northfield School for Girls, East Northfield, MA in 1949 and Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 1953.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Horace L. Mann of the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 1st, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Starn, and a son, Geoffrey Mann.
Surviving are three daughters, C. Susan Heath married to Perry Heath of Carlisle, PA, Martha Sandusky married to W. Scott Sandusky of York, PA and Rev. Elizabeth P. O’Callaghan married to Marla Aizenshtat of N. Bethesda, MD.
She had five grandchildren, Julia Reynolds, Christina Adams and David Heath and Daniel and Matthew Sandusky, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Prudy had one sister, Constance P. Barker of Brunswick and Orr’s Island, Maine.
Prudy loved the Lord and served Him in many ways. She was active in all the churches she attended in her lifetime. She became a Stephen Minister while attending Grace Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, PA. At the time of her death she was a member of John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at the Masonic Village where she was a former member of the Bell Choir, Altar Guild, Visitation Committee, Sunday Greeters Committee and the Prayer Group.
Prudy and Horace also volunteered in the Masonic Village Shoppe for many years. She also was in charge of the Monday night Bridge Club and Treasurer of the Rebecca Circle, the Women’s Bible Study group. She was a former treasurer of the Penn State Club at the Village now called the Gray Lions, A .I. G.. Prudy was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, and a member of P.E.O., Chapter T, of Harrisburg, where she was a former president.
In her spare time she loved to read, play games, knit, and work with her computer.
She will be missed by her loving family and friends near and far.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm with visitation at 2:00 pm, and a light reception following the service in the Sell Chapel at the Masonic Village. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Masonic Charities, one Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Burial will be private to be decided by the family.
