Renee Millette Johnson

Renee “Ney” Johnson, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away on August 17, 2026. Born August 1, 1967, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James Forney Sr. and the late Janice Forney (VanFossen). Renee was a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. She worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board starting in retail customer service and retiring as an East Coast regional purchasing agent.

Renee enjoyed spending time with her husband Dean, playing card games with friends, and her rescue dogs Daisy and Pebbles.

Renee‘s loving husband, Dean, of 15 years, passed the same day. She is survived by her brothers James (Vicki) Forney Jr., Dan (Stephanie) Forney; her sister Anne Kinsey; nieces Johanna Forney, Sierra Forney, Mirranda Forney, Lilianna Forney, Dana Forney, Ellory Forney, Aderyn Forney; and nephew Magnus Forney. In addition to her parents, Renee was predeceased by her sister, Michelle Freet.

A memorial luncheon for Renee and Dean will be held on Saturday, September 19 from 1 to 4 at Middletown first Church of God at 245 W. High St., Middletown PA 17057. To help celebrate the love and joy Renee gave us we are asking that anyone who attends would please honor her by wearing her favorite color pink.
