Bob passed away at home, surrounded by his family on December 6, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on March 17, 1941, and raised in Steelton, Pennsylvania, Bob was the son of the late Margaret Milletics and her husband John.
Bob was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. He had a long career with the United Insurance Company, retiring after 50+ years of service. Affectionately known as “Bob the Insurance Man,” he was a well-known and trusted figure throughout the community.
Bob was the ultimate Mr. Fix-It. If something was broken, Bob could fix it. If you had a question, Bob had the answer. And if someone needed help, he would drop everything without hesitation to lend a hand. That’s just who he was.
Bob enjoyed computers, crossword puzzles and fishing. He was always quick with a joke, and he loved playing tricks on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid ham radio operator, a lifelong learner, and someone who loved understanding how things worked.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Florentine (Flo) Horvath; his daughter Diane Stepp; step-daughters Terri Vetock, and Cherie Groff; six grandchildren, Shaunice Henderson, Shai Henderson, Erin Stepp, Nick Vetock, Emily (Garrett) Vandebrake, and Brenden Stepp; and five great-grandchildren, Tristan Crosson, Jahsir Proctor, Ayla Williams, Jahmir Proctor, and Grayson Vandebrake; and one step-sister, Karen (Bill) Walker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia (Pat) Musser, his step-sister Patricia (Pat) Boarman and his son-in-law, Richard (Rick) Stepp.
He will be missed forever.
