Robert E. Sukeena

April 26, 1939 – August 25, 2025

Robert "Bob" E. Sukeena, 86, of Gettysburg PA, died peacefully at home, on August 25. He was the beloved husband of Lynn Anne (Szewczyk) Sukeena. Born in 1939 in Pottsville PA of the late Nicholas and Sophia.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Littlestown Eagles, Gettysburg Moose and Gettysburg VFW Post 15. He was a kind and gentle man.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Richard Sukeena and wife Irene, Ronald Sukeena, brother-law E. Nicholas Szewczyk, sisters-in-law, Cathy E. and husband Richard Krzywicki, Barbra L. and husband William Snyder, as well as many loving nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Ronald's partner Carol of 18 years, nieces, Tammy Sukeena and Teresa (Prince) Krzywicki and nephews David Sukeena, Luke Crone, and Connor Davis.

Following high school Bob enlisted in the Navy. He worked with fellow veterans for RCA SERVICE CO. Missile Testing Project as a technician assigned on the USNS Costal Sentry to maintain equipment used to send commands to the space capsule with John Glenn and Scott Carpenter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am on October 25, 2025, at St. Francis Catholic Church, 25 W. High St, Gettysburg PA 17325 with Fr. Michael Pray officiating.

A time to share memories will be after the Mass at the VFW Post 15.
