Roberta "Bert" A. Danner

Roberta A. "Bert" Danner, 68, passed away October 8, 2026, at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital.

Born January 12, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Gloria Jones.

Bert was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary Post #143 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary.

She had worked for the Department of Revenue at Strawberry Square.

Bert was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother who loved her grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed watching sports-especially her beloved "DA Bears", was an avid bingo player, and loved her fur baby, Gizmo.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Orvan O. "Skip" Danner III; a son, Brad Danner; a daughter Glenda Rider; 2 sisters, Anita Schadler and Andrea Jones; and 6 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Sylvia Phillips.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date and will be announced once finalized.
