

Sarah Louise Kohl age 93 of Lawnton passed away on July 29th 2026.
Sally was born November 6th 1932 in Harrisburg to Elmer and Naomi Rodkey.
Sally enjoyed gardening, bird watching, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her friends and loved ones. Sally also enjoyed baking holiday cookies which she shared with friends and family. Sally grew up in Penbrook, and graduated from John Harris High School 1951, and attended Dickinson College in Carlisle. Sally had a huge heart and was generous to many charitable organizations. Sally was especially fond of various migratory songbirds in which she introduced her passion to others. She was a member of American Business Women’s Association where she developed many friendships. Sally worked in the medical field as a secretary at the Polyclinic Hospital, and later for Stanley Klemek an Orthopedic surgeon in Harrisburg. Sally finished her working career at Pennsylvania Blue Cross –Blue Shield. Many of Sally’s work experiences led her to lifelong friendships with her coworkers.
Sally was preceded in death by her mother Naomi Pearl Rodkey, father Elmer Rodkey, brother, Harrison Rodkey, and grand-daughter Teagan Grey of Florida. Sarah is survived by her sister Karen Radic of Harrisburg, brother George Rodkey of Middletown, son Alexander J Kohl III and wife Jodi of York, her grandchildren Alexander J Kohl IV and wife Allison Rosito and great grand-daughter Mara Kohl of Camp Hill, Megan Kohl and husband Kris Vosk of Philadelphia, Eric Kohl and fiancee’ Abriana Eisenhauer of Palmyra, Ian and Ryan Williams of Lancaster, nephew Martin J Radic of Harrisburg, and niece Angela Radic of Harrisburg. Sally is also survived by many other nieces and Nephews.
Charitable donations can be made in Sally’s name to the Appalachian Audubon Society.
