

Born on August 3, 1987, in Harrisburg, she was a proud graduate of the inaugural class of Harrisburg High School’s SciTech Campus in 2005. During her time there, she excelled in track and field, surpassing her aunt’s long-standing triple jump record in McConnellsburg, PA— a testament to her drive and determination.
Shanai continued her education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where she majored in Interior Design. Her professional journey led her through several fields, each one shaped by her creativity, resilience, and commitment to helping others. She ultimately found her calling on October 31, 2024, as a realtor with the Joy Daniels Real Estate Group of Camp Hill, PA, where she thrived by guiding families through the buying and selling process.
From a young age, Shanai was a member of The Bridge of Faith International Church where she enjoyed the Ministry of Praise dance.
Shanai was a devoted and loving mother who would do anything for her children. She worked tirelessly to provide them with a happy, well-rounded life filled with love, opportunity, and cherished memories. She especially enjoyed taking them on cruises, family outings, and countless adventures, believing that life's greatest gifts were the experiences shared together. Her selfless love, unwavering support, and adventurous spirit created a lifetime of treasured moments that her children will forever hold close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William Davenport Sr. and her sister Shyquahna Davenport.
Shanai leaves to cherish her memory, her father William Davenport (Shirley) of New Cumberland, PA; her mother Jacqueline Alexander of Mechanicsburg, PA; her children Camron Nixon of Parkesburg, PA and Nicholas Alexander of Harrisburg, PA; her paternal
grandmother Maude Davenport and maternal grandmother Rose Alexander, both of Harrisburg, both of whom held a deeply special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her brothers Mariqcus Davenport of Harrisburg and Clinton Mitchell of Virginia; her aunt Annette Davenport of Louisiana, her uncles Phillip Davenport and Cory
Alexander, both of Harrisburg; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Amariana Davenport, Zyion Simmons, Clinton Mitchell V, Mariqcus Jr., Mylo, and Yah’nari Davenport, all of Harrisburg. And host of other family and friends.
Shanai will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 27, 2026, 11:00 am, at Cremation & Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Inc. 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
