Shelley Ruth Heinzig

Shelley Romaine Ruth Heinzig, 42, of Mechanicsburg, born March 11, 1980 went home to be at peace in her Heavenly Fathers arms on January 26, 2023. Shelley attended Mechanicsburg Area High School. She was a 2002 graduate of Thompson Institute in the Medical Assistant Program. She also worked as a veterinary assistant due to her passion for animals. Shelley is survived by her mother Crystal R. Ruth Titmas; her stepfather, James R. Titmas Jr.; her eldest son, Colby James Ruth; middle son, Anthony Joseph Smuro; youngest child, Isaac Michael Heinzig; her brother, James Ryan Lee Holjes; and her maternal grandparents, James Edward Ruth and Dolores Ann Ruth along with many cousins. Shelley had a huge love for animals, especially cats. She also had quite a talent for drawing and sketching pictures. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shelley’s name to your local shelters for the homeless, food banks or animal rescues. Funeral services will be held at the discretion of the family.
