Sylvester E. Earhart

Sylvester E. Earhart, 80, of New Oxford, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at his home with family. Born June 29, 1946, in Lebanon, PA, he was a son of the late John and Maggie Earhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ricky. Mr. Earhart was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran having joined the service immediately following high school graduation. After his return, he worked as a machinist throughout his career. Sonny loved sports especially the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed watching college wrestling and playing cards especially poker. He fought the good fight after battling Lymphoma and COPD from 2011 - present. Before getting sick he was an avid cruiser with his wife. And enjoyed taking vacations with friends and family and loved the outdoors. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Barbara Earhart; his son and daughter Bradley Earhart and Yvonne Perez and his granddaughter Shanda Earhart.
