William Merle O'Hara Jr.

With heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of a beloved husband, father and grandfather William M O'Hara Jr. lovingly known as Bill. He peacefully departed from this world at home surrounded by his loving family on October 23rd 2026.

He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Landis.

Born on September 4th 1964 in Carlisle Pennsylvania to the late Barbara J Livingston, and William M O'Hara Sr. Bill was a remarkable individual. He resided in Carlisle Pennsylvania. Bill received his education from Cumberland Valley High School. He worked for Patriot Rail as a track laborer. Bill will be remembered for so many good qualities.

Bill shared his life and love with his devoted wife Tammy M O'Hara of 42 years. Bill was a cherished father to daughter Clarissa M Miller (O'Hara) and Husband Robert of Carlisle Pa, Daughter Rachel A O'Hara and fiancée Brandon of Newburg Pa, Son Jacob W. O'Hara and fiancée Sherrie of New Bloomfield Pa, Daughter Sara E O'Hara and Fiancée Mike of Sumter SC, Son William Strupp (O'Hara) of Carlisle Pa, and Daughter Tiffany O'Hara of Shippensburg Pa. He was loved and admired by his grandchildren Ayden, Bryson, Caydence, Ryland and Teegan. several surviving relatives and close acquaintances who will deeply miss him. To know him was to love him.

In reflecting upon his life, we remember Bill as an amazing man who would take the shirt off his back for anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family, playing poker with friends, gun raffles, kayaking, Nascar and watching his Minnesota Vikings. He was a member of the American Legion, Sons of American Legion Shippensburg Pa.

A celebration of life to honor and celebrate the life of Bill will be scheduled when the family is ready.
