Yvonne Vivian Zipp

Yvonne Vivian Zipp, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, at the age of 99.

Born on March 4, 1927, in Lancaster, PA, Yvonne was the daughter of Dorothy (Crawford) and Earl Hagelgans. Yvonne shared 73 loving years of marriage with her husband, William G. Zipp, before his passing in 2020.

She was a loving mother to Kathy Smeltzer (James) of Mountville, PA; Valerie Cowan, who preceded her in death; and Donna Zipp of Mountville, PA. Yvonne treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved bringing everyone together for large family holiday gatherings, where cooking for those she loved was one of the ways she shared her heart.

An avid reader, she passed her love of books down through three generations. She also cherished the warmer months, when she could sit outside and bask in the sunshine, enjoying life's simple pleasures.

Yvonne was a cherished grandmother to Adrienne Bell (Ernest Foundas), Laura Bell, Dustin Zipp (Kelley), Jennifer Berlet (Jason), and J. Bradley Moore; a proud great-grandmother to Michael, Austin, Mackenzie, Jennison, and Brixton; and a beloved great-great-grandmother to Aurora, Kanan, Amaya, and Aliza.

In addition to her husband and daughter, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kathryn Johnson, Earla Gilder, Lester Hagelgans, and Doris Spence.

Yvonne's 99 years were filled with family, love, and simple joys. Her love of reading, the warmth of the sunshine, and the memories made around her holiday table will remain a lasting part of her legacy. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
