Karl R. Thurber

He was born November 20, 1955, in Warren, OH, son of the late Karl R. Moore and Colene M. Moore. He married the late Anita L Thurber on November 28, 1992.

Rick proudly served in the US Marine Corps. He enjoyed truck driving for nearly 50 years and was most recently employed by Hovis Auto in Titusville, PA.

He was proud of his nearly 50 years of sobriety and was dedicated to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. Though he was not defined by his sobriety, his strong desire to help others allowed him to be a sponsor, counselor, role model, and friend, no doubt

changing the lives of countless people.

Rick is survived by his beloved stepchildren, Kevin Powell and wife Christy of Spotsylvania, VA; Michelle Kircher and husband Mark Kircher of Guys Mills, sister Susan Geyer of Arcadia, FL, brother Richard (Laura) Moore of Conneautville, sister Robin (Chester) Crawford of Conneaut Lake, brother Randall (Shannon) Moore of

Meadville. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and adoring grandchildren, Ashleigh (Brendan) Coles, Samantha (Justin) Farrell, Cassidy Powell (Tony Rosica), Sydney Kircher (Cody Stivanson), Eva Powell, Isabella Ferreira, Abigail Ferreira, and great-granddaughter Lakelynn Farrell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Thurber, his parents, brother Chris Thurber of TX, and brother-in-law Glenn Guyer of FL.

As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania in Wexford, PA. He will be laid to rest with his wife in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
