

He was born in Johnstown on January 6, 1951 and was preceded in death by his parents Charlotte (James) Rollins and William (Marie) Hill, infant son Eric, and his sister Joyce.
Michael is survived by his wife Jo Ann, son Daniel (Monique), grandchildren Ian and Alex, his siblings Dexter (Alice), Lynette (Tom), Cheryl, his brother-in-law Teri, and ex-wife Mary Carol.
He retired as a logistics specialist with Boeing in 2014. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy after serving in the submarine force on the USS Kamehameha (SSBN-642) from 1970-1974. As a proud submariner, he remained active in the U.S. Submarine Veterans of America throughout his life. In 2022, he was awarded membership in the Holland Club, signifying 50 years of submarine qualification.
He was a parishioner at the St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Mike’s favorite place in the world is Hawaii where he and Jo Ann vacationed frequently. He was a member of the Ainahau O Kaleponi Hawaiian Civic Club in California prior to moving to Johnstown. His final resting place will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu, Hawaii which serves as a memorial for U.S. Armed Forces personnel.
A memorial mass for Mike will be celebrated at a future date, at the convenience of the family.
