Edmund Joseph Hoare Jr.

Born April 17, 1943, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edmund and Dorothy Dugan Hoare.

Edmund was a graduate of Bishop Egan Catholic High School, class of 1961. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving from 1961, until being honorably discharged in 1965.

He was employed for many years for Reigel Paper Mill where he began his career in the accounting department. He later took on roles, serving as manager of their wax department, manager of the ISO 9000 Program, and was promoted to general manager until 1999, at which time the company began downsizing and eventually closing their doors in 2003.

After the paper mill, he was employed by Ron Pak, Inc., in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Chicago Rawhide, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Magnetic Windings in Easton, Pennsylvania, until his retirement in 2005.

Ed enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and riding motorcycles; having owned approximately 25 throughout his life. In his spare time, he liked working on his motorcycles and cars or watching a good movie. He loved helping animals and adored his own.

In addition to his parents, Edmund was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Cooper Hoare, who passed away on October 3, 1995.

He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Morrone Hoare; his children, Kathy Ferrari and her husband Ron, Ed Haare and his wife, Angela, Kelly Murmello and her husband, Jason; grandchildren, Michael, Faith, Lucas, Evelyn, Matilda, and Dylan; sisters, Marie Sauer and Terry McNichol; brother-in-law, Michael Morrone and his wife, Brenda; sisters-in-law, Margaret Hess, Janet Cooper, Ann Cooper, and Barbara Wilkins and her husband, Bob; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; his beloved pets, Cooper, Ziva, Jethro, and Bella.

In keeping with Ed’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to: Tunnels to Towers (T2T), Ronald McDonald House, Roanoke, Virginia, Best Friends Animal Society, Kanab, UT, The Children’s Home of Easton, or Allentown Rescue Mission.
