Born on October 30, 1949, Harry was the son of the late Paul Sr. and Katherine Hoagland Radle. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Bernadette Miller, on August 10, 2026 leaving a hole in his heart; as well as his brother, Paul Radle Jr. and sister, Harriet Wallick.
Harry served as a member of the United States Air Force. He later owned and operated a construction business in partnership with his brothers until he began working as an electronic technician for Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he proudly retired with 35 years of service.
Harry will be remembered not only for his strength and courage, but also for calling everyone he loved an asshole, in addition to his sarcasm and dark sense of humor. He enjoyed the company of his fur baby Rosie whom he spoiled every day with treats, traveling, camping, collecting coins, arts and crafts, most recently singing (but created his own lyrics) and spending time with his family, but only as long as your stay didn’t extend into his nap time or one of his favorite shows.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Hanson of Dupont and Christine Cravetts of Scranton with whom he spent all of his final days, and his sons-in-law, Mike Hanson of Dupont and Steve Cravetts of Scranton, who most recently became known as the good and best eggs, both always there for him, but most of all in these last few weeks when he needed them the most.
Also surviving are his brothers Richard Frederickson and John Radle, sisters Pastor Debbie Loessy, Kay Propes and Donna Bowser, many nieces and nephews and last but certainly not least his grandchildren, Kaylah, Abigayle, Alex, Holden, and Cecilia, who made him so proud and brought him tremendous joy, traveling with him, teaching him everything about anything remotely cool and even challenging him to blindfolded taste tests and whole house Candyland adventures.
He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
Harry’s daughters would like to extend a special thank you to Dr Gerald Criner who our dad considered a real life hero and gave us 6 extra years with him, Dr. Michael O’Donnell of Lackawanna Valley dermatology our dad’s buddy, Dr Finnerty of GCMC (the kindest doctor we have ever met) and the one who secured him his first and only helicopter ride making him feel like Superman, Temple University Hospital’s Lung Center Team, particularly his nurses Maniyah his “bestie”, Damien who adored “pop pop”, Theresa for her kind heart and Sally for putting up with his sassiness, Dr. Mark Rubinson from the Palliative Care team and last but certainly not least the staff from Traditional Home Health Hospice, Danyelle, Heather, Amy and Samantha for their impeccable care and kindness during his final days and helping to make it possible for him to return to and remain at home, where he wanted to be.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of NEPA.
Friends and family are invited to join Harry’s family in a celebration of his life on October 30th at 6pm at 325 Lackawanna Avenue in Dupont.
