Born March 14, 1962, in Austin, Texas, he was a son of Elizabeth Jones and Arthur Mitchell.
After graduation, James enlisted and in the United States Army.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jones, and his brother, Curtis A. Mitchell.
Surviving is his sister, Karen D. Jarnagin; and his brothers, Timothy W. Jones, and Gregory A. Mitchell.
Services will be held in Austin, Texas, at the convenience of the family.
