Mr. John Robert Strobel

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John R. Strobel, 71 of Hanover Twp. Passed away on November 07, 2024 at Geisinger South Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Betty Jane (Owens)Strobel , and his sister Julie Butry.

Surviving are his wife Christine (Brinzo) Strobel for 21 years,

His Son John Jr. , two Grandsons, Caden and Easton, stepson Bobby O’Connell. Also,Sisters Marie Conroy, Pittsburgh, Marilyn Smith, (Robert) Wilkes Barre, and several nieces and nephews.

John was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan and enjoyed fishing. many would remember him for his glory softball days! John was the comedian of the family, always bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around him. Johnny loved to mimic Rodney Dangerfield, often delivering the iconic line,

“ I get no respect”.

The family invites you to join them in celebrating the life of Johnny at E. Blake Collins in W-B on Sunday November 17, 2024 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Your presence will be a great comfort during the difficult time as we honor & remember a wonderful person who brought so much joy to our lives.
