
Cynthia “Cynthe” L. (Young) Crockett, 74, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully the morning of Monday, April 13, 2026, at Lancaster Nursing and Rehab. Born October 2, 1951, in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Margaret (Mease) Young. She graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1969. She enjoyed her years of employment, loved her family, and was a devoted dog owner. She spent her free time playing Scrabble and going to Long’s Park with her husband, Troy; crocheting; writing letters; playing board games with family and friends; and attending Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ.
Cynthe will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Troy C. Crockett of Lancaster, PA, and her daughter from her first marriage, Elizabeth (Brubaker) Hopeck (Scott). She was the proud “Grammy” to her three grandchildren, Evan, Juliana, and Nicholas Hopeck of Wyckoff, NJ. Siblings: Nancy Cronquist, Bellevue, WA, Kathleen Singer, Lancaster, PA, Russell Young (Claire) Melbourne, FL; John Michael Young, Mount Joy, PA; Sister-in-law Cynthia Molkenthin (Ray), Landisville, PA, Brothers-in-law Craig Crockett, East Petersburg, PA; Mark Crockett (Katie), Mt. Joy, PA and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Mary Hoehn and Fay Coolidge.
A celebration of Cynthe’s life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 450 West Main Street, Mountville, PA 17554. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM with a service to follow, the Reverend Patty Dodds officiating.
